Dance Classes
No matter what your age or experience level, Jabberwocky’s dance classes will strengthen your body and mind, connect you to other people and make your day! Jabberwocky prides itself on being Columbia’s home for hip hop, but we offer a wide variety of classes to appeal to every taste.

We are excited to welcome a contemporary spin to African dance at Jabberwocky studios with the help of Mizzou’s very own Made In Africa dance team! In this year’s dance program, they’ll be teaching popular African dance moves that have taken over and introduce you to some new and fun music that’ll get you going! Not only will you be learning more about different African cultures through dance, you’ll also be having so much fun while breaking a sweat. Class starts October 12 and ends January 11, 2023. Note: no class November 23 or December 28. -
This class is suitable for absolute beginners and those looking to strengthen foundational skills. Students will have a great time practicing rhythm and body awareness while learning the basics of hip hop and preparing and learning to perform some fun choreography! Class starts October 10 and ends January 9, 2023. Note: no class December 26 or January 2.- ages 6-14

This class is aimed at the older beginner or at the younger child who has taken our Beginner Hip Hop I class. This invitation only class provides time for more advanced dancers to work together on break dance and hip hop in a self-structured environment where they can share with and learn from their peers. On occasion they will be performance opportunities. If you are interested in this class and do not currently dance with Jabberwocky, please contact Linda at 573-239-9899. This class allows students to pursue advanced skills with the guidance of an instructor and support of their peers. With additional rigor, we will focus on flow and style in addition to expanding our repertoire of moves. This class integrates strength building exercises that help with performance and mastery of moves. Session begins October 14 and ends January 20. Note: no class November 25 and December 23 and 30.- On advice of instructor
